The Problem

Grade stands apart from other sports merchandise through its enthusiasm and support for volleyball fans. The brand aims to feel sporty yet approachable to volleyball enthusiasts wherever they are. Even when they’re alone, they don’t need a crowd because they belong to a like-minded Grade community where they can shine and enjoy the sport. Grade needed a rebrand to reflect this new direction.

Grade’s previous identity felt dull and rough, which didn’t match a bold, brave, community-driven brand. We created a visual system where Grade feels like a supportive friend to sports enthusiasts, keeping the spirit of sport alive in a technology-driven world where physical activity is slowly fading.
We developed multiple logo variations for use across merchandise and stickers, making the brand scalable and confident at every touchpoint. The iconic volleyball mark honours the sport where Grade began building its identity.

Outcome

Grade now feels energetic, welcoming, and confident wherever it shows up. Volleyball fans can instantly see themselves as part of the community, even when they’re on their own. What started as merchandise now feels like a shared identity fans are proud to wear.
